At first it looks like Jerry is the victim, because he’s being chased by Tom, who intends to eat him. Oh come on! Just look at his smile! Is that a face of a victim? OK, now look at Tom’s face - doesn’t he look tired of all these? Jerry always makes him feel like a fool and the poor pussycat is so stupid that always falls in his traps. Perhaps, he’s the victim? U know what I tell ya? It doesn’t matter, because at the end of the episode the cat and the mouse are alive and happy and in some cases they’re even friends!
You’re asking then who’s the victim? The victim is the six years old Nikki who creates a concept about his favourite characters and that concept makes him see the violence as something good. That concept also makes an optimist out of him, who believes that the best way to cope with someone is to hit him on the head with a hammer and then you’re gonna be friends again! The next day after having watched the movie, little Nikki goes to school and has a fight with another six years old kid - Alex. Nikki is fed up and hits Alex on the head with a hammer. He believes that would make the other boy think about his behaviour and then they could be friends again - just like Tom & Jerry did yesterday!!! Instead, Alex dies. His parents are smashed, they don’t want to meet anybody, they don’t want to go to work, they feel they don’t have any reason to live. Nikki’s parents are amazed and scared about their son’s behaviour - they punish him, scream to him but nothing changes the past. This occurance is imprinted in Nikki’s mind and at the age of 6 he already believs he is a damn murderer! This is a real story! Alex and Nikki’s parents realize what’s the problem and they put MGM on trial. Has someone mentioned that there are no new series of Tom & Jerry? They’re always the same that are repeated. MGM haven’t created new series of the film since they were put on trial not only by the two kids’ parents and have lost. In some states the movie is even forbidden and today even in BG on Cartoon Network it is very rare if you can watch Tom & Jerry - have you noticed that? OK, I wonder why should little Alex die so that someone try to do something about the problem? It is a fact that when I watch Tom & Jerry I laugh, because I know it’s just a cartoon. Then I remember about Nikki and Alex and I no longer laugh at the movie. And what happened to the banal, extremely sweet and stupid fairy tales in which good always wins?!

I don’t know, but it is a real story and is a fact that Warner Bros were put in trial - few years ago that was even said in the news. I also wonder how he didn’t realise he could hurt Alex, probably the hammer which he found out in the garden(left by mistake) was a small one and the kid thought he wouldn’t kill his pal with a small hammer, I don’t know
Soap Operas are more dangerous, because unlike the cartoons thei don’t present the thing ina humoristic way so that most of the kids could realise their not real. Instead soap operas create another reality which is definetely more dangerous!

It is very possible that I have made a mistake about the name of the company that has been put to trial
So it appears not Warner Bross but MGM were put to trial

Wait, what? A six-year-old killed another six-year-old with a hammer? I’m a cartoonist and have just done a series of ’spoof-toons’ for a client. In it i put car chases, gay sex, homicide, aliens, dogs being eaten, swearing, nuclear war, bodily dismenberment, vomiting, monolithic creatures, robot sex, houses blowing up, Alice In Wanderland dying, William Shatner, Evil Duck©, Frdddie Krugger, torture, the Devil and other crap. If a cat chasing a mouse makes a six-year-old murder then i should just give up!

Nemo, no offense buddy, but I DO believe your cartoons should NOT be seen by 6-year-old kids!!!! Maybe 10 year old kids may enjoy all that, actually a six-year-old kid would also enjoy it but should not watch it! That’s what I think! And if you create cartoons for six-year-old kids then you really should give up!
