Harry Potter for all generations?!

“-A letter? Do you really believe, proffesor Dumblledore, that all this could be described in a letter?! These people will never really understand the boy! He’s going to be famous… legends would be told about him, I wouldn’t surprised if this day in the future is known as “The Harry Potter’s Day”! Books will be written about him, every child in the world will know his name…”
Two days ago I wanted to have a little fun with my granny and for a joke I gave her Harry Potter to read. Now she is a Harry Potter’s fan!!! And I’m not kidding! Adulst read it, kids read it, and now old people appear to have been interested in it - what makes the Harry Potter saga so famous and beloved?
The truth is that I am a Harry Potter fan too but not from those maniacal fans who live in a magic world!!
I read a lot of other books and this is what (I think) protects me against having mania to only one book, and even though Harry Potter is one of my favourites! But why?
The first thing that grabbes the reader is the magic - the magic world, the magic people and the magic reality. Yeah! That’s it! A reality! Not like in the fairy tales in which magic is considered to be a fiction. This is a story about a boy who lives in the 21 century and he even plays a computer in the first book!
So, here’s another thing that touches - the relation between our reality and the magic. The book describes the life of a kid who is just like everyone else and is written so that every child(or adult) can find something in himself in this book. It is in some moments very sensful, because there are stories about situations of the real life, friendship, ideals related to the reality - even there are main characters who have died and kids cried a lot but still the author declared more characters would die! The behaviour of the characters is typical for our century and that grabbes the reader. And all the magic and legends and fiction are so well combinated that they look like a truth. People just love when they cannot find a mistake in the fiction! All the things related to one another and all the actions full of non stopping thrill makes us want more and more.
The sad truth is that some kids haven’t read anything else but Harry Potter. They’ve never known that there can be an interesting book and they believe this is the only(This is all the BG school’s fault, but that’s another question!). I have seen crazy people dressing like wizards and talking only about magic, imitating harry potter and hermione and so on! Ya know what - I loughet at first, but… Wow, then I thought - that’s not ridicoulus! That’s not sad! That’s scary!!! This is a mania! This book i some of my favourites but not a book about my life! And there really ARE some more interesting ones. I like this book too! I love the characters, the plot, the magic, the facts, the actions, everything. But Why it causes suc a mass-mania! Whyy? Why?! Whyy?!?!!?! What makes it so special? Some people would say that there are many other books! I know that!! I am non stop reading books but, people, don’t try to think over yourself. Think over the million children obsessed with this mania! I wonder why is that? Yeah, I love this book, but I reaally love the ”Amtrack Wars” saga and “Henry’s list of wrongs” and “Forever Amber” and “Birds Thorn” really, The last is about different kinds of behavour in a different time. Amber is about problems that would be forever, the book about Henry is alal written about 21 century’s people and amtrack wars is a fiction - I just love different kinds of books!!! And still i don’t think it is normal that such a mania exists. It is stronger than the mania for “Star Wars” 30 years ago!
Hmmm, actually … is it different? No! Now as i think both are just full of thrill sagas with a lot of fiction presented as a reality in a way that makes you want to be there. Star Wars has become obsolete, but not really… Is Harry Potter going to be the same, or worse/better?
